Terms and Conditions

We pride ourselves on the service we provide, our terms and conditions set out below are there to ensure we continue to run the service to the standard our customers expect. We also pride ourselves on our flexability.

We reserve the right to ask for full payment for short notice bookings or a deposit of 50% of the quote when making a non account booking. This can be made by credit/debit card, cheque or cash. Provisional bookings are not binding until the deposit is received

Should you wish to cancel a booking the following charges will apply:

  • One week and over _ No charge
  • 24 hours - one week - 25% of the original quote
  • 12-24 hours - 50% of original quote
  • 3-12 hours - 75% of original quote
  • Less then 3 hours - 100% of original quote

We will carry out work on account for individuals or companies subject to status. As a condition of opening an account the applicant will agree to pay all invoices within 20 days of the date of the invoice

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Credit cards incur a £3 handling charge. Debit cards have no additional charge

Quotes are based on information supplied by the client and are valid for one month

Quotes become invalid if there is any material change to the itinery

We have a minimum charge per journey of £30

We include one hours waiting time at airport pickups but will charge for additional waiting time of £12.50 per half hour part thereof

Airport parking is charged at £6 for the 1st hour cost thereafter

Additional costs such as parking, tolls, etc will be charged at cost

Multiple pick ups are charge at £5 to £10 depending on distance or time

Our prices are not subject to VAT at this time

We will advise journey times but will not be held responsible for missed flights, connections, etc resulting from delays caused by the client, weather or traffic

From 1 July 2007, smoking will no longer be permitted while travelling in any private hire vehicles, in line with new legislation being introduced across England. The driver will stop for a break if required. Please request this in advance and allow extra time for your journey

We are insured for passenger travel. This insurance is for public liability and does not constitute travel insurance

We reserve the right to refuse travel to anyone causing damage to our vehicles or deemed to be a nuisance or danger to our employees or other passengers. We may seek the help of the police to remove any offenders from our vehicles. No compensation or refund will be paid in such circumstances

We do not allow animals other than guide dogs to travel in our vehicles

We reserve the right to provide a different vehicle to the one which is booked. We will endeavour to supply a vehicle of similar quality and specification

We cannot be held responsible for delays for traffic hold ups, road works, adverse weather conditions, strike action, acts of god, conflicts of war or force majeure

We accept no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to client's property or luggage

Any malicious damage, deliberate breakages or carelessness resulting in damage to the vehicle will be charged. Excessive soiling will be charged at a minimum of £75

Any breach of the above terms and conditions could result in termination of your hire agreement with Platinum. We will not refund costs or pay compensation in any event
